The first Castlemaine Clydesdale Foal Show was held 23rd April 1978. The CCHS Victorian Branch is keen to continue supporting the opportunity for breeders to showcase their Clydesdale foals and promote the breeding of quality Clydesdales by the current sires. The show features foals, fillys, mares and young colts and recently has included a program for the Clydesdale partbred.
